• Professional experience:

    He founded the Firm in 1986 with Bruno Gangemi. After attending university in Italy and USA, he worked as a Trainee with the law firm Squire, Sanders & Dempsey in Cleveland, Ohio. He practiced law in Milan from 1966 to 1970 and in Rome from 1971 to 1979. In 1980 he moved back to the United States of America where he was admitted to practice as a Foreign Legal Consultant. In New York he set up and managed the office of an important Italian law firm until 1986. Throughout his professional activity he gained significant experience in corporate, financial and transnational commercial transactions and in the related ordinary and arbitration disputes, acquiring considerable expertise in every branch of business law and in particular in matters of competition, labor, real estate, environment, natural resources, assisting leading national and foreign companies and multinational groups operating in all sectors of industry, commerce and services. He currently focuses on corporate, financial and commercial transactions of strategic relevance for clients, dividing his activity between the offices in Rome, Milan and Paris.


    Law degree, magna cum laude, at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1961. He attended the specialization course in Comparative Law at the same University (1963-1964). He attended the courses of the University of Michigan Law School, U.S.A., obtaining a MasterDegree (M.C.L., 1965).




    A lawyer with international training in the years when few were able to claim a master’s degree from the University of Michigan, he was among the chosen heirs of Giuseppe Bisconti, who entrusted him with the guidance of the firm’s New York office. In 1986 together with Bruno Gangemi, he founded Macchi di Cellere Gangemi, which in fact marks the launch in Italy of a new generation of associated law firms.
