He acquired considerable experience in maritime law and transportation law, both sea and road transportation in judicial/arbitral and extra-judicial disputes. He specializes in carriage of goods by sea and by road, damages to the cargo and cargo claims, bills of lading, charterparty, MOA, arrest of vessels and luxury yachts, international sale contracts and commodities (C.I.F., F.O.B., C.F.), vessel and yacht building contracts, marine insurance (Hull & Machinery).
He has handled several major marine casualties on behalf of the main P&I Clubs and has represented Shipowners and Commercial Companies in several proceedings before International Arbitration Courts (LMAA -FOSFA).
He has worked for primary Italian shipping law firms (2003/2009) and for primary International shipping law firms and companies (Michael Lloyd’s & Co Solicitors, London 2003; Navalmar UK Ltd 2003; Stephenson Harwood, Maritime and International Trade Department, London 2011/12).
He graduated from University of Pisa in 2002. He collaborated as lecturer with the Department of Italian Civil Procedure Law of the University of Pisa (2002/2003). He took an LL.M Master Degree in Maritime Law at the University of Southampton (carriage of good by sea, international trade, marine insurance) (2004/2005).
Admitted to bar. Member of the Italian Maritime Law Association (AIDIM) and of the British Italian Law Association (BILA).
