Luigi Macchi di Cellere a fondé le Cabinet en 1986 avec Bruno Gangemi. Après ses études universitaires en Italie et aux États-Unis, il a effectué une période de stage au sein du cabinet Squire, Sanders & Dempsey de Cleveland dans l’Ohio. Il a exercé le droit à Milan de 1966 à 1970 et à Rome de 1971 à 1979. En 1980, il est retourné aux États-Unis, où il a été admis à exercer en tant que consultant juridique étranger. À New York, il a créé et géré le bureau d'un prestigieux cabinet d'avocats italien jusqu’en 1986. Au cours de son activité professionnelle, il a acquis une grande expérience des opérations sociétaires, financières et commerciales transnationales ainsi que des contentieux ordinaires et des arbitrages y afférents, ce qui lui a permis d’acquérir une expérience significative dans tous les domaines du droit des affaires et notamment en matière de concurrence, du travail, de l’immobilier, de l’environnement, des ressources naturelles, en assisant des entreprises italiennes et étrangères de premier ordre et des multinationales opérant dans tous les secteurs de l'industrie, du commerce et des services. À présent, il concentre son activité dans des opérations d’importance stratégique pour ses clients entre les bureaux de Rome, Milan et Paris.
Formation:
Diplômé en droit magna cum laude à l'Université de Rome "La Sapienza" en 1961. Il a fréquenté l'Institut de droit comparé de cette université (1963 1964). Il a fréquenté la faculté de droit de l'Université du Michigan (1964-1965), obtenant une maîtrise en droit comparé (M.C.L., 1965).
