Laurea in giurisprudenza magna cum laude presso l’Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza” nel 1961. Ha frequentato l’Istituto di Diritto Comparato presso la stessa Università (1963 1964). Ha frequentato la Law School dell’Università del Michigan (1964-1965), conseguendo il Master in Diritto Comparato (M.C.L., 1965).

Dopo gli studi universitari in Italia e negli USA ha svolto un periodo di pratica presso lo studio legale Squire, Sanders & Dempsey di Cleveland, nell’Ohio. Ha esercitato la professione legale a Milano dal 1966 al 1970 ed a Roma dal 1971 al 1979. Nel 1980 si è nuovamente trasferito negli Stati Uniti d’America dove è stato ammesso alla pratica quale Foreign Legal Consultant. A New York ha costituito e gestito sino al 1986 l’ufficio di un prestigioso studio legale italiano. Nel corso della propria attività professionale ha maturato una significativa esperienza in operazioni societarie, finanziarie e commerciali transnazionali e nel relativo contenzioso ordinario e arbitrale, acquisendo una notevole esperienza in ogni ramo del diritto degli affari ed in particolare in materia di concorrenza, lavoro, proprietà immobiliare, ambiente, risorse naturali, assistendo primarie società nazionali ed estere e gruppi multinazionali operanti in tutti i settori dell’industria, del commercio e dei servizi. Si concentra attualmente in operazioni di rilevanza strategica per i clienti, dividendo la propria attività tra gli uffici di Roma, Milano e Parigi.
Membro dell’International Bar Association (IBA), della Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA); della Inter-Pacific Bar Association; dell’American Bar Association (quale International Associate); dell’American Bar Foundation (quale International Fellow); della Association of the Bar of the City of New York; del Southwestern Institute for International and Comparative Law. Delegato di Milano dell’Istituto per le Relazioni Economiche Francia-Italia (IREFI). Partecipa regolarmente alle riunioni delle associazioni di cui sopra, spesso quale relatore per argomenti in diritto italiano e comunitario. Fa parte del Comitato Organizzatore del Congresso di Roma dell’UIA (25-29 ottobre 2023). Contribuisce inoltre regolarmente alle pubblicazioni delle associazioni stesse.
