Macchi di Cellere Gangemi, with the senior partner Bruno Gangemi and the senior associates Valentina Spinelli and Matteo Patrignani assisted Palladium Group in the sale to Langham Hospitality Group of its quota-holding in the company owning a development project of a luxury hotel to be built on the island of Murano (Venice).
This is the first hotel project of Langham Group in Italy and it envisages the enhancement of an ancient glassmaker factory and other historical properties by the construction of a 5 star luxury resort: 140 highly furnished rooms, two private docks on the lagoon and a charming pedestrian access from Rio dei Vetrai, the main street of Murano glass artists.
The remaining quota-holding of the target company were sold by Serenissima Partecipazioni (A4 Holding Group), assisted by Helena Clarasó, in-house counsel of Abertis Infraestructuras.
Guido Bardelli and Tommaso Sacconaghi assisted the sellers for the town planning aspects and Tiziano Mariani for the tax ones. CBRE, with Francesco Calia and Domenico Basanisi, acted as real estate advisor of the sellers.
Chiomenti assisted the buyer with its partner Marco Nicolini, the senior associate Vincenzo Collura and the associate Silvia Colomba (M&A and corporate aspects), its counsel Katia Zulberti and the associate Nicola Tursi (administrative law aspects) and its partner Raul-Angelo Papotti with the associate Simone Schiavini (tax aspects).
