Admitted to Italian Bar in 1993. Member of the Milan Bar. Lawyer of the Court of Justice of the European Union, the UK Competition and Markets Authority and the Competition Appeal Tribunal, as well as the Italian Antitrust Authority, the Council of State and the Supreme Court of Cassation. Dual-qualified lawyer, Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.

Professional experience
He joined the Firm in 2015.
He is the Partner in Charge of the London Office. His practice focuses on Cross- border M&A, International Competition Law and Commercial and IP Litigation. He represents multinational groups, national enterprises and private equity funds in deal negotiation, due diligence process, pre-merger notification and possible second phase proceedings, assisting through clearance acquisitions, concentrations, joint ventures and technology transactions in a wide range of industries and business sectors.
He is an experienced negotiator and mediator, he argues pleadings and appeals and litigates both follow-on and stand-alone damages actions, unfair competition, and intertwined licensing and intellectual property disputes.
He advises on anticompetitive behaviours and compliance programs and provides legal opinions on competition and commercial matters, attending company board or association meetings when requested to oversee adherence. He is a regular author and speaker and contributor to the World Bank’s Doing Business annual reports.

Stefano Macchi di Cellere est associé responsable du bureau de Londres et avocat à double qualification, avocat aux tribunaux de grande instance d’Angleterre et du pays de Galles et avocat à la Cour suprême de cassation d’Italie.
Ses activités juridiques à Londres sont axées sur l’internationalisation des entreprises, les fusions et acquisitions transfrontalières, le droit international des sociétés et le droit de la concurrence, le contentieux stratégique et l’arbitrage dans le domaine de la technologie, ainsi que l’assistance aux clients qui investissent et exercent leurs activités au Royaume-Uni et en Italie.
Sa pratique commerciale et transactionnelle couvre plusieurs secteurs, dont l’automobile et la mobilité électronique, les biotechnologies et l’industrie pharmaceutique, l’énergie, la fabrication et les consommateurs, les médias, l’informatique et les communications, fintech, le transport et les marques de luxe, en conseillant des conglomérats multinationaux, des entreprises du marché intermédiaire et des entreprises plus petites.
